In this article we will show you the example on how to set MMK mail IMAP account in Outlook 2010.
In order to setup your account click on File (1.) > Info (2.) > +Add account (3.)
Add New Account window will open and in it you select to Manually configure server (1.) and press Next (2.)
Next Choose service to be E-mail Account (1.) and press Next (2.)
Now enter Your Name (1.) and E-mail Address (2.) that you are setting up in User Information.
Select Account type to be IMAP (3.) and set incoming and outgoing mail server to be mail.mmksystems.com (4.) and (5.) in Server Information.
Enter User Name (6.) and Password (7.) provided by MMK Systems and place a check on Remember password (8.)
If you set Account type to IMAP you can place a check on Test Account Settings by clicking.... option (9.) so do it and press Next (10.).
If you placed a check on Test account settings.... in previous step (9.), pressing Next will perform a test on settings you entered by logging onto incoming mail server (IMAP) and by sending the test e-mail message and if everything is setup correctly it will show Completed status for both (1.). You may press Close (2.) to proceed.
If testing of account settings failed to send the test e-mail message click Close (1.) to return to the settings.
The test can fail for 2 reasons:
1. Check if the User Name (1.) and Password (2.) are entered correctly
2. Server ports are not correct in which case you need to open More Settings (3.).
When you click on More Settings Internet E-mail Settings first click on Outgoing server (1.) tab, place the check on My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication (2.) and set that it uses same settings as my incoming mail server (3.).
Then click on Advanced (1.) tab. The Server Port Numbers are:
Incoming server (IMAP) is 993 (2.) and encrypted connection is set to SSL (3.)
Outgoing server (SMTP) is 465 (4.) and encrypted connection is set to SSL (5.)
When you set everything click on Close (6.)
After you rechecked the password and set the advanced settings perform the test again.
If both test tasks were completed successfully final Congratulations page of the wizard opens and you simply click on Finish (1.) to close the wizard and your e-mail account is set up.
