In Booking Manager each boat has to be assigned to a base so it can be properly booked and can come up in search results online.
If you however base a boat in a different base in certain period it would be impossible for the system to automatically offer the boat in a different base without using the Location function.
How to set up alternate base in Locations
Once you enter a boat in the system and assign it to a base, the system will always offer it from that base. However, using the Location in Work > Yachts you can place the boat in a different base for a certain fixed period.
Open Work > Yachts, select a boat (1.), click on Locations tab (2.) and press New (3.) to add a new location.
Once a new location opens, it will show current base and current dates. Click on the Base (1.) and select the alternate base from the dropdown.
Next, double click on Date from (1.) to set the date from which you want to start basing in alternate base.
Then, double click on Date to (1.) to set the date from which you want to end basing in alternate base.
Once this is completed, the boat will be based in alternate base, in this example from 29.11.2019 - 29.11.2019.
Note
Once you base the boat in alternate base, the reservations before and after the set dates will automatically be set as one-way bookings.
